Alasdair Bouch is back in The Royal Oak on Friday 4th September for an intimate night of blue-eyed soul and confessional folk-blues. He’ll be playing choice songs from his forthcoming album, and a couple of new songs hot off the press! So come down to the cellar and hear for yourself what the fuss is all about :p
The Royal Oak has live music most Friday and Saturday nights through the autumn and winter in the bar.
Several local bands and artists perform here on a regular basis, providing an eclectic mix from blues and jazz through to traditional African music. We have had everything from a 7 piece Marimba band to Cellos and Violins.

Justin was influenced in his early years in France by Big Bill Broonzy, Marcel Dadi, Serrge Gainsbourg & George Brassens.
Justin played with the well known Moonbelly Quartet in London for years and also backed famous bands (The Rah Band, Bucks Fizz) in cabaret and function gigs both on cruise ships and in the UK, France and USA. He then decided to compose, record and play only what he liked and now Justin plays and writes his own style of blues, jazz, gospel & soul with Central European and folk music influences.
“Charismatic [...] with a roughened voice and fantastic solos…an exceptional combination of folk, blues and rock traditions” (Prazsky Denik September 2008).
Come and enjoy a great night of unique music with pure style.
